And with a clap of thunder and a startling lightning show, summer left and fall arrived in one day. So it goes here in the Pacific Northwest. After no rain for months, the ocean has decided to overwinter here, bringing blankets of clouds, much needed rain, and cooler temps. This is good news for us- it means the pastures are shooting back up, just in time to finish our grass fed Highland beef, and the dairy goat girls are smelling love in the air and are coming into heat. I love breeding season- all the hopes, and dreams of our future herd without any of the anxiety that I feel at birthing time. Be sure to check out our goat planned breeding page to see what we have coming up . Good stuff!
