In 2007 we acquired our first Scottish Highland calf.  Ian was looking for his own 4-H project besides the goats and we had already tried Highland beef and knew it to be the best tasting meat we had ever had.  We quickly added another two heifers and from there built up our breeding herd to be our current four breeding cows and 10 beef program cows.  We have done well in the show ring in the past but are currently focusing on just the beef production aspect.

Our four registered mama cows are Talia of Hem-Loch, Vivica of Hem-Loch, GardenHome Chelan, and GardenHome Connie. We are happy to have a few good heifers coming up to add to our breeding group. Good quality cows are ones that produce meaty, fast growing offspring.
