In 2002, our family moved from the Seattle city neighborhood of Ballard to Mount Vernon, in the beautiful Skagit Valley.  That same summer our neighbor there sold us three goats—a Saanen milking doe and her two babies. Our kids did 4-H with these goats and we eventually added some Oberhaslis to the mix.  We loved the taste of the milk and the cheese that we made from it. 

 

Our kids are grown but are still involved in the show world of breeders.  We have spent years breeding for what suits us and our farm.  We breed for hardiness and worm resistance as well as proper conformation and milk production. Our lines are well recognized and although we are a small herd, our goat’ pedigrees are well stacked.
